Her smoothly confident performances and powerhouse voice helped Idol expand into the country space, and established her as a future Nashville hit-maker. 2. Fantasia Barrino (Season 3, Winner) With a backstory worthy of a Lifetime movie and a voice that the word “unique” hardly does a millipart of justice to, Fantasia has taken a trip that ranks as one of the most potent Idol success stories. Her spine-tingling top-eight performance of “Summertime” still ranks as one of the show’s best, a lightning-in-a-bottle moment that she somehow managed to replicate for that year’s final episode, ensuring the crown and her place in Idol lore. 1. Kelly Clarkson (Season 1, Winner) When American Idol launched, it had the subtitle The Search for a Superstar. If it had ended after Kelly Clarkson was crowned, in September 2002, it could have sat back with a sigh, content that it had fulfilled its mission. Clarkson's run to the inaugural title wasn't perfect; she could be pitchy and, sometimes, a bit too excited. But Idol's viewership fell in love with her boisterous performances of "It's Raining Men" and "(You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman," and with good reason. She was, no joke, a cocktail waitress from Texas who had been goaded by her friends to try out on a lark, and she could sing her face off. Pop music is certainly better for her having won (just ask everyone who's ripped off "Since U Been Gone" over the past decade-plus), and Idol couldn't have had a better original victor. Clarkson was, and is, charming and bright, a true up-from-below success story made even sweeter by its protagonist's effervescent charm and formidable pipes. What popped up on the computer screen in the high-tech lab stunned everyone. The DNA results of ‘Jessie Doe’ were an exact match to the one and only, Elvis Aaron Presley. Lab technician Robert Brensdale said he and his lab assistant, Madeline Hedgespeth, laughed when the name popped up. “We thought somebody, somewhere, somehow in the system pulled the greatest and most elaborate prank on us ever, we both laughed with hysteria for about an hour,” Bresndale told Jerry Hardin of the Hollywood Word, a new entertainment publication based out of Los Angeles. Brensdale and Hedgespeth then went to their superior with laughter, as if he were the one behind this “prank”. They were told to simmer down and stay quiet, that this was no laughing matter. From there, the results went up the ladder to the FBI and CIA. Now, weeks later, FBI spokesperson Philip Hunter has revealed that the deceased man’s body was actually the body of Elvis Presley, who had been in the witness protection program since 1977. “Mr. Presley was placed in the program under a voluntary basis. He was not a witness to any crime or anything like that. Once he had met President Nixon, the two became great friends, and Mr. Presley wanted out of his life, he wanted to be an unknown, so President Nixon made this possible. TAKE THE BLACK HOT WIRE COMING IN THROUGH THE CEILING & CONNECT IT WITH A WIRE NUT TO THE EXTENSION CORD WIRE THAT GOES TO THE SMALL PLUG HOLE. CONNECT THE WHITE NETURAL WIRE TO THE EXTENSION CORD WIRE THAT GOES TO THE BIG PLUG HOLE. 8. SLIP THE MALE END OF THE EXTENSION CORD THROUGH THE KNOCKOUT, & CONNECT IT TO THE WIRES GOING TO THE LIGHT. THE HOT WIRE IN THE EXT. CORD IS THE SMOOTH WIRE WITH THE LITTLE PRONG PLUG. THE COMMON WIRE IS THE ROUGH WIRE WITH LINES, THAT GOES TO THE BIG PRONG ON THE PLUG. 9. CUT THE 2 IN. WIDE VELCRO 3 & 1/2 INS. LONG. WITH THE VELCRO STILL STUCK TOGETHER, PEEL THE PLASTIC OFF ONE SIDE OF THE VELCRO & STICK THE VELCRO ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE BIG CONTROL BOX. PEEL THE PLASTIC OFF THE OTHER SIDE OF THE VELCRO & STICK IT NEXT TO THE KNOCKOUT, ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE END OF THE LIGHT, AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE. 10.
